- Are you completely sick of how absolutely slow it is possible for a
- graphics BGI file to be? Are you ready to be transported into the
- age of high-speed graphics?
-
- If you can answer yes to those questions, then you have found your
- destiny. TUGU (The Ultimate Graphics Unit) is a collection of
- procedures and functions especially geared to deliver top speed
- graphics in VGA mode 13h (320x200x256). The only other requirement
- is that you own a 386 or better processor.
-
- TUGU will work with either Turbo Pascal 6.0 or 7.0. Two separate units
- are provided for that purpose (TUGU60.TPU and TUGU70.TPU). The code for
- TUGU may be acquired through registration. Before going any further,
- you should determine which version of Turbo Pascal you have and rename
- one of the aforementioned units to TUGU.TPU
-
- Besides TUGU, two separate programs, Fractal and FontEdit are also
- provided in this package. Fractal is a program which uses the
- capabilities of TUGU to display the Mandelbrot and Julia Sets. Code for
- this program is provided and is copyright by Jason Rennie. The code
- may not be distributed without this package. This program should give
- you a general idea of what may be accomplished through the use of the
- TUGU package.
-
- Also included with TUGU is a program called FontEdit. The program works
- in conjunction with TUGU to provide a complete engine for creating your
- own fonts. Some standard fonts are included, but you may create
- fonts up to 12x17 in size using FontEdit. FontEdit is completely mouse
- driven and easy to use, so you may find yourself swimming in fonts if
- you let your creativity loose. Code is not provided, but may be
- acquired through registration. FontEdit is copyright by Jason Rennie.
-
- As a final addition, a unit to control the mouse is also included,
- JMOUSE. Basic procedures are given to find the location of the mouse
- and the number of buttons being pressed. It uses the standard mouse
- calls and should be compatible with any mouse. Code is not provided,
- but may be acquired through registration. As with the TUGU units, there
- are two JMouse units, JMOUSE60.TPU and JMOUSE70.TPU. According to
- whether you use TP 6.0 or TP 7.0, you should copy the appropriate unit
- to the name JMOUSE.TPU. JMouse is copyright by Jason Rennie.
-
- TUGU is distributed as shareware. Many hours were put in to create the
- over 2000 lines of code contained in TUGU, not to mention the extra hours
- needed to create the supporting software. If you would like to help
- support the wonderful people who created this package and aid future
- projects, you can register this package. Through registration, you will
- be given complete code for all programs and files included in this
- package. You will also receive support and help through internet e-mail.
-
- As a registered user, you have full rights to examine and privately use
- the code in any way you wish. You may change the code for your own
- purposes, but you may not distribute the code or sell it in any way
- without the express written consent of Elliot Waingold and Jason Rennie.
- If you are interested in using TUGU for commercial purposes, you may
- obtain a commercial license for an additional fee of $20 (for a total
- of $40).
-
- For registration, we are asking a fee of $20, nothing compared to the
- number of hours that have been put in to create this package. To
- register, print out the following registration form and mail it, along
- with a $20 check made out to Jason Rennie, to the following address:
-
- Jason Rennie
- 106 Crown Oak Drive
- Chester Springs, PA 19425-2429
